How TO Remove The Battery Cover

Well I don't know how many people will need this information. What I do know is if you need it you will appreciate it. My wife brought home a First Years crib CD player from a garage sell and asked me to put batteries into it. I told her OK and she handed the CD player over to me.

I must have tried for an hour to find where the batteries go and just couldn't do it. I finally went onto the internet trying to find someone explaining how to do it.. but instead found people asking the same question that I was wanting to ask. After surfing around on the internet for awhile with no luck I gave it one more chance and to my amazement I figured it out.

So now I will give you the secret of how to change the batteries in a FirstYears CD Player.

Push The Tab And Give It A Smack

I don't know if you can see the writing in the picture below very clearly so I will tell you what to do.

First you need to find the button in the center of the CD player. I call it a button because I don't really know what it is called.

Next you will need to give it a smack towards the left side of my picture. It should slide apart at this point and you should be able to see that battery compartment.

You need to push the tab in the middle down and give the back of it a little smack and it should come apart.

You Can Now See The Battery Compatment

If you were lucky enough to get the two parts to come apart then you can now see the battery compartment. You will only need a screwdriver to remove it like most electronics. Here is a picture of what it looks like.

You Have Now Finished Opening The Battery Compartment

Now go get some C batteries and put that baby to sleep.

Thanks for reading my post I hope it helped.

Tip

This CD player will give your child hours of soft relaxing music. One thing to think about is when the batteries go bad the music stops, now is the time to think about rechargeable batteries. They are good for baby and they are also good for the environment.

Now that you know how to change the batteries it won't be a problem anymore to change them. So keep that baby happy and give him/her a fresh set of batteries.
